Regional Sales Manager


Essential Job Functions:

  • Meets or exceeds sales objectives and quotas on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis through the management of sales representatives.
  • Personnel management of the sales representatives for the defined region to include hiring new personnel and performance management of existing representatives.
  • Adheres to budget guidelines and requirements.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of all product lines in order to sell products that will meet the customers’ expectations.
  • In-services, educates, and trains customers on the correct use of Innovative Lighting, Inc. products and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Determine if a potential customer is financially sound.
  • Represents Innovative Lighting, Inc. at trade shows and events as assigned.
  • Conducts field visits with regional sales representatives on a quarterly basis.
  • Conducts regional meetings with the cooperation of the National Sales Director on an annual basis (at a minimum).
  • Attends Innovative Lighting, Inc. meetings as requested or assigned.
  • Informs Innovative Lighting, Inc. management of competitive strategies, tactics and threats.
  • Prospects new clients by making phone contacts, scheduling appointments and making presentations to decision-makers.
  • Provides regular and timely feedback to sales and marketing management on a variety of topics related to sales performance, market feedback, sales targets, sales growth, sales management, sales representative performance and new product development opportunities.
  • Assists with the design and implementation of regional sales reports and controls.
  • Represents Innovative Lighting, Inc. products and services in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications and Competencies:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of demonstrated successful sales experience in the LED lighting or related field is required.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Takes ownership of responsibilities and demonstrates initiatives in problem identification and solution development.
  • Strong negotiating skills and the ability to present ideas effectively to individuals and groups. Customizing the presentation to meet the needs of the audience.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of an idea, plan, activity, service or product from subordinates, prospects and customers.
  • Demonstrates high intelligence with effective analytical/problem solving skills.
  • A positive, self-confident, decisive manager who has excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as keen listening skills.
  • A high-energy, goal-oriented sales manager with the maturity to succeed in a highly competitive business environment.
  • Job requires travel.

Lighting Technician

 

Job Description:
Assist the engineering department with electrical testing, trouble shooting of current products, and new product design testing. This person also will be assisting with product development, lighting system installation and process analysis as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years Electrical experience and/or training required.
  • Ability to work outside in all types of weather as needed.
  • Hardworking, quick thinking, problem solving abilities.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Possible internship possibilities.
