LED's are produced with semiconductor technology and is subject to process variation.  The above photo shows what can happen when specific bins are not properly identified in the LED selection process.  As you can see, the middle LED has a "blue" hue from the other two 4100K chips on the same circuit board.  EcoBrite® LED fixtures use high intensity LED chips from very specific bins which yield a higher lumen output and consistent 4100K or 3500K color temperatures. 

In general, when you see 50 to 160 LED's to a fixture, those products are using a lower quality LED chip that can vary both in light intensity and color temperature.

Proper binning and our quality check points in our production process allow the EcoBrite® LED fixtures to avoid different shades of white light in all of our retail display fixtures.
