Milestone #2 Node Centric Design
In our last post we covered first GENISYS PoE Lighting Milestone, Open Power Source Design and being capable of running on any IEEE rated Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) that is able to push 30 or 60 watts per port while using standard RJ45 terminals and cabling standard to the Networking Industry.
Milestone #2 – Node Centric Design
This week we will cover the critical nature of Node Centric Design as the most effective way of Powering and Controlling the GENISYS PoE Lighting System.
Our encryption-ready IntelliDrive (node) is capable of supporting up to eight devices while featuring a 32 bit microprocessor. The IntelliDrive is prepared to meet the growing demands of a deployed networked “nervous system” in what some are calling the Digitized Ceiling.
Our IntelliDrives acts as “traffic cops”, directing the distributed intelligence of the GENISYS PoE Lighting System in concert with our GENISYS Lighting Controller as a completely integrated intelligent system.
This is not the compromised approach of many others that are looking to create: intelligent fixtures as a method of driving up the price of every fixture. Rather, node-centric systems place maximum value on the integrity of the system as a whole.
One must ask the question, “Can a lighting system be described as intelligent and sustainable when it employs redundant components on every fixture despite being costly and unnecessary?”
We believe in the elegant simplicity of the GENISYS PoE Lighting System’s Node Centric Design by using less to do more and creating intelligent value in the process.
